Jesus Riding a Donkey Painting Art Print

This watercolor painting depicts Jesus humbly riding on a donkey, as prophesied by Zechariah (Zechariah 9:9) and told about in Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40 and John 12:12-19.

The painting reflects the bright colors of springtime during Passover, but I also painted the tunic cloths that the disciples laid over the donkey in hues of red and purple, foretelling of the brutal crucifixion of Jesus, where He transferred His righteousness, through the pouring out of his blood, in exchange for our sin. While we don't know what colors of clothing he was wearing here, I painted him in white clothing (to reflect his holiness) and a purple robe, which signifies royalty, but also foretells of how Mark says that “they clothed Him with purple ” (15:16-17), and John states that the soldiers put “a purple robe” on Him (19:1-2).

Each print is made with archival pigment-based ink on 100% cotton paper.

Frame Option

Each Made-in-the-USA frame is made of 100% oak wood, in either a natural, walnut, black or white finish. They include crystal-clear tempered glass that is 1-2mm thick. The backs of the frame have sawtooth hangers, for either vertical or horizontal hanging. The frame backs also have turnbuttons, which allow you to easily secure and replace the artwork. Sizes 5x7, 8x8 and 8x10 include an easel back, for displaying on a tabletop. The art print comes already secured inside the frame, which is fully assembled and ready to hang (nail included)! Mats are generally not included, but if you'd like to purchase a framed print with a mat, please send me a message and I can arrange for that.

For unframed prints, all size options are standard and come ready to be placed into any standard frame.

Orders ship within 5-7 business days excluding weekends and holidays. Orders within the United States ship for free. We ship to most countries worldwide.

Returns

Every print and frame is specially made to order, so we are unable to offer exchanges and returns.  Please be sure to read the description and any size charts provided carefully before ordering.

Damage

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, you can request a replacement within 30 days of receiving your order. Let us know here and we'll ship you a replacement asap!
